Seven (7) AFPSLAI scholars passed the licensure examinations for Accountancy, Medical Technology, Professional Teaching, Nursing, and Psychometry.
Two (2) AFPSLAI scholar-graduates, Ms Ma Esperanza R Vergara of Far Eastern University and Mr Dar Francis P Lagdaan of the University of the East, are now Certified Public Accountants. Both graduated as Cum Laude in 2015.
Mr Dale A Ebcas of Mindanao University of Science and Technology made it to the official list of board passers for Professional Teachers Board Exam (Elementary Level) conducted in September 2015.
Cum Laude 2015 Graduate Ms Jessica B Delas Alas of University of Santo Tomas passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination held in March 2016. Likewise, Ms Ma Eillen Mae O Ogatis of University of San Agustin, who graduated this year, passed the same board exam given this August 2016.
Fresh Magna Cum Laude graduates Mr Christian A Bergonia of Western Mindanao State University and Ms Orange S Lucero of University of San Jose – Recoletos passed their licensure examinations and are now Registered Nurse and Psychometrician, respectively.

The Armed Forces and Police Savings & Loan Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI) held a Scholars Banquet recognizing its 23 scholar-graduates last July 27, 2016 (Wednesday) at the Social Hall, AFPSLAI Head Office, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
All the graduates received a plaque of recognition and a gift watch, while those who graduated with Latin honors received an additional cash incentive (P15,000 for Magna Cum Laude and P10,000 for Cum Laude) for achieving academic excellence. The affair also featured testimonials from two (2) of the graduates, Mr. Jesus G. Bagsit Jr. (Magna Cum Laude, BS Civil Engineering/ University of Santo Tomas) and Ms. Orange S. Lucero (Magna Cum Laude, BS Psychology/ University of San Jose-Recoletos).
The Management also presented the new scholars from Luzon Area that have been accepted into the Scholarship Program for the Year 2016.
Invited Keynote Speaker Mr. Robert V. Espiritu, a professor at De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, encouraged the graduates to strive to be better versions of themselves, work hard, maintain their focus, and never give up on their dreams.
The event was capped off with a message from AFPSLAI President & CEO LtGen Virgilio O Domingo AFP (Ret). He said that providing scholarship grants is the Association’s way of giving back to its members for their loyalty and patronage of AFPSLAI products and services. He urged the scholars to always persevere for they shall continue to face many challenges.
The AFPSLAI Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program (SEAP) is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Association. Since its launch in 2002, AFPSLAI has continued to provide financial assistance to the underprivileged but deserving dependents of Regular Members. To date, the AFPSLAI SEAP has produced 210 graduates, 64 of whom graduated with honors.
